Product Description

The Hydranautics ESPA1-LD-4040 is a premier 4-inch by 40-inch commercial-grade Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane element from the Energy-Saving Polyamide (ESPA) series. Designed by Hydranautics (a Nitto Group Company), this low-energy membrane is ideal for the treatment of low Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) brackish water, municipal drinking water, and light industrial applications where high productivity and exceptional energy efficiency are critical.

This membrane features Low Differential (LD) Technology, which utilizes a specialized feed spacer to minimize colloidal fouling. This patented technology helps to maintain consistently low operating pressures over time, extend the time between chemical cleanings, and prolong the overall lifespan of the element. With a high nominal salt rejection rate of $99.4\%$ and a specified permeate flow of $2,450 \text{ GPD}$ at just $150 \text{ PSI}$ test pressure, the ESPA1-LD-4040 delivers a high volume of high-quality permeate while requiring significantly less energy than conventional RO membranes.
