The LG BW 4040 ES is a premium 4-inch by 40-inch Energy Saving (ES) Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis (RO) element from LG Water Solutions. This membrane is engineered for commercial and light industrial applications requiring both high water quality and low operating costs.

This LG element incorporates the company's patented Thin Film Nanocomposite (TFN) technology. By embedding benign nanomaterials within the polyamide layer, the TFN membrane achieves superior permeability and high flux without sacrificing salt rejection. This results in significant energy savings while ensuring superior water quality.

The LG BW 4040 ES provides an impressive stabilized salt rejection of $99.5\%$ and delivers a permeate flow rate of $2,500\text{ GPD}$ when tested at a low $150\text{ PSI}$ applied pressure.
