The Toray TM820C-400 is an industrial-grade Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) membrane element, meticulously engineered for high-salinity water sources typically exceeding 10,000 ppm TDS. As part of Toray's TM800C series, this 8-inch diameter element is a premier choice for municipal desalination, large-scale industrial processes, and shipboard water production. It is specifically optimized for high salt rejection and superior boron removal, meeting stringent standards for potable and process water purity.
Constructed with a cross-linked fully aromatic polyamide composite, the TM820C-400 provides a stabilized salt rejection of 99.75%. This element features a 28-mil feed spacer that balances high-flow productivity with robust resistance to fouling. Designed for durability in extreme conditions, it maintains stable performance under high operating pressures up to 1,200 psi. While the TM820C-400 has been a mainstay in the industry, the manufacturer now recommends the TM820M-400 as the direct high-productivity replacement for new installations and retrofits.
