The Hydranautics SWC5-LD is an advanced 8-inch seawater reverse osmosis (RO) element engineered for maximum salt rejection and high-efficiency desalination. As part of the SWC (Sea Water Composite) series, it is specifically designed to treat high-salinity feedwater while delivering ultra-pure permeate. The "LD" designation indicates the integration of Low Differential technology, featuring a specialized feed spacer that reduces colloidal fouling and minimizes the pressure drop across the element, leading to more stable long-term performance and reduced maintenance.
Utilizing a high-rejection composite polyamide membrane, the SWC5-LD is an ideal solution for municipal desalination plants, industrial process water systems, and offshore applications that require the removal of difficult ions like boron.
