The DuPont FilmTec XLE-2521 is a high-efficiency Extra Low Energy Reverse Osmosis Element designed to maximize water production while minimizing operating costs in small commercial systems. As part of the "XLE" family, this membrane operates at a remarkably low pressure of 100 PSI—significantly lower than standard brackish water elements. This allows system builders to use lower-cost pumps and reduced energy, making it an ideal choice for applications like spot-free rinse systems, lab water production, and light commercial water treatment.
This 2.5-inch diameter element features a Tape-Wrapped exterior, ensuring a tight fit in standard 2521 pressure vessels. By utilizing FilmTec’s advanced low-energy polyamide chemistry, the XLE-2521 delivers a nominal flow rate of 365 GPD while maintaining a solid salt rejection of 99.0%. It is specifically engineered for cold water applications or systems where pump pressure is limited, providing reliable performance without the need for high-pressure industrial equipment.
