The CAT Pumps 290 is an industrial-duty, positive displacement triplex piston pump belonging to the highly dependable 3-Frame series. Engineered specifically for continuous or intermittent fluid transfer, this reciprocating piston pump features a highly durable wetted end constructed with chrome-plated brass manifolds, 304 stainless steel valve assemblies, and chrome-plated 304 stainless steel sleeves and cylinders. This robust internal metallurgy provides exceptional structural integrity and wear resistance, making it an optimal choice for rigorous applications such as mobile cleaning units, street sweeping equipment, CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems, and commercial pressure washing.

Designed to maximize suction capabilities and minimize cavitation, the 290 utilizes a unique Triplex Uniflow design. This engineering provides a continuous, forward liquid flow that delivers smooth, low-pulsation operation. It operates at a consistent flow rate of 3.5 GPM with a maximum pressure capacity of 1200 PSI at 1200 RPM. The lower RPM belt-drive or clutch-drive configuration further enhances the longevity of the pump and internal NBR (Buna-N) seals by reducing mechanical wear.
