The DuPont FilmTec LC LE PRO-4040 is a highly efficient, low-energy reverse osmosis (RO) membrane engineered specifically for small to mid-sized commercial and light industrial water treatment systems. Manufactured utilizing advanced polyamide thin-film composite technology, this 4-inch by 40-inch spiral-wound element is designed to deliver superior water purity while significantly reducing overall facility energy consumption. Constructed with a durable fiberglass outer wrap, it provides the structural integrity necessary for systems with multiple-element housings, ensuring it can safely withstand high pressure drops and demanding continuous-duty cycles in harsh feed water conditions.
Designed to optimize facility operating economics, the LC LE PRO-4040 features an industry-leading active surface area of 94 square feet. This expanded area minimizes membrane fouling by operating at a lower flux while still producing a highly robust permeate flow rate of 2,600 gallons per day (GPD). It achieves an exceptional stabilized salt rejection of 99.5% at an applied test pressure of only 150 PSI, allowing commercial operators to utilize smaller high-pressure pumps and dramatically lower electrical costs compared to standard brackish water membranes. Engineered to accommodate a maximum operating pressure of 600 PSI and maximum feed flow rates up to 16 GPM, it also offers a broad cleaning pH range (1–13) for highly effective chemical maintenance.
