The Cat Pumps 237 is an industrial-duty, 3-frame triplex plunger pump engineered for high-pressure, continuous-duty applications. Constructed with a high-strength Nickel Aluminum Bronze manifold, this positive displacement pump provides exceptional resistance to corrosion, making it specifically tailored for handling high-salinity seawater in marine reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination systems and aggressive chemical transfer applications. The wet-end features precision-polished, solid ceramic plungers that provide a true wear surface, minimizing friction and significantly extending the life of the seals.

Designed for consistent performance and low pulsation, the 237 model delivers a steady flow rate of 2.3 gallons per minute (GPM) while operating at a maximum test pressure of 1,500 PSI. Driven at an efficient 1,725 RPM, it features a durable die-cast aluminum crankcase with splash oil lubrication to ensure optimal bearing and crosshead operation. The pump comes standard with NBR (Buna-N) seals, allowing it to safely process liquid temperatures up to 160°F (71°C). Its compact footprint and reliable drive options—including belt drive or direct-drive via a bell housing and flexible coupling—make it an industry-standard component for demanding marine environments where standard brass or stainless steel might fail.
