2.5" x 21" 225 PSI PVC Pressure Vessel Membrane Housing

This is a highly durable, single-element PVC pressure vessel engineered for commercial and industrial reverse osmosis systems. Proudly Made in the USA, this housing is designed to seamlessly accommodate one standard 2.5-inch by 21-inch spiral-wound membrane element. Unlike mass-produced, stamped stainless steel commodity housings, this premium vessel is crafted from specialized heavy-wall PVC extrusions and precision-machined on a lathe to safely contain high hydrostatic pressures. This specialized manufacturing ensures a structurally superior housing engineered specifically for the most aggressive water environments.

Constructed from premium, NSF-approved white PVC, the vessel features sturdy PVC collars and flush-mount, easy-aligning end plugs that ensure exceptional structural integrity while making fitting installation completely effortless. Its chemically inert construction provides two massive operational advantages over traditional stainless steel. First, while stainless steel is highly susceptible to pitting and rust when exposed to the concentrated chloride brine generated during brackish water filtration, this PVC housing is completely immune to chemical and chloride attacks.

Second, it is the premier choice for double-pass RO systems and ultrapure or deionized (DI) water applications. Because highly purified water acts as a "hungry" solvent, it will naturally strip microscopic metal ions from the walls of a stainless steel housing. This completely inert PVC housing will never leach nickel, chromium, or iron into the permeate stream, guaranteeing that your ultrapure water remains completely pristine after filtration.

Built to withstand demanding continuous-use water treatment environments, this pressure vessel housing is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 225 PSI. Its intelligent structural design maximizes the spatial separation between the 1/4-inch permeate port and the 1/4-inch feed and brine ports, comfortably allowing for the integration of larger system fittings without clearance issues. For a highly secure and reliable seal, the assembly utilizes FDA-approved Ethylene Propylene O-rings paired with robust, self-locking 304 stainless steel U-Pin retaining devices, providing facility operators with a safe, leak-proof, and easy-to-maintain filtration housing.
