The CAT Pumps 6022 is a high-capacity, rechargeable Pulsation Dampener (commonly referred to as an accumulator or Prrrrr-O-Lator) engineered to protect industrial pumping systems from damaging pressure spikes and hydraulic shocks. Designed for extremely high-volume fluid handling, this dampener features a robust 316 Stainless Steel lower body for the wetted parts and a Carbon Steel upper body, providing exceptional tensile strength and corrosion resistance in heavy-duty environments. By utilizing a nitrogen-precharged NBR (Buna-N) bladder, it actively absorbs the kinetic energy generated by the pump's discharge stroke, transforming an intermittent, pulsating flow into a smooth and continuous stream.

Incorporating the 6022 into a fluid system can reduce pressure pulsation by up to 90%, which significantly extends the operational lifespan of internal pump components, regulators, and downstream plumbing. Built to accommodate demanding industrial applications, it easily handles massive flow rates up to 70 GPM at a maximum operating pressure of 1500 PSI. Its standard 1 1/4" NPT(M) connections allow for straightforward integration into large-scale process manufacturing and centralized high-pressure systems where minimizing vibration and preventing cavitation are critical for long-term reliability.
