The DuPont FilmTec™ BW30 PRO-4040 is a high-performance brackish water reverse osmosis element and the official direct successor to the industry-standard BW30-4040, offering improved productivity while maintaining the same trusted reliability system designers have relied on for years. Built using DuPont's proven polyamide thin-film composite membrane technology, this 4-inch diameter element is engineered for commercial and light industrial RO systems that need consistent, high-quality permeate water from brackish water sources.

The BW30 PRO-4040 provides 85 square feet of active membrane area and delivers a permeate flow rate of 2,600 GPD (9.8 m³/d) under standard test conditions, with a stabilized salt rejection of 99.7% (99.5% minimum). This combination of increased flow and dependable rejection performance allows system designers to achieve target production with fewer elements or lower operating flux compared to the legacy BW30-4040, helping reduce both capital and operating costs.

Constructed in the standard tape-wrapped 4040 form factor, the BW30 PRO-4040 is fully interchangeable with existing 4-inch pressure vessels, allowing for straightforward drop-in replacement without system modification. The element supports a wide operating pH range for both continuous service and short-term cleaning cycles, and a coupler with EPR O-rings is available separately for linking multiple elements within a shared housing, making it a dependable choice for water softening, demineralization, and general brackish water treatment applications.
