The DuPont FilmTec™ BW30XFRLE-400/34i is a highly specialized Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane engineered to excel in challenging water and wastewater reuse applications. Utilizing advanced Polyamide Thin-Film Composite technology, this 8" x 40" element is specifically designed to provide exceptional fouling resistance (XFR) while operating at low energy (LE) levels. This unique combination allows plant operators to achieve high-purity water with excellent silica, nitrate, and ammonium rejection, all while utilizing up to 30% less operating pressure than standard RO elements.
Designed to maximize uptime and reduce maintenance costs, the BW30XFRLE-400/34i features an optimal 400 square feet of active membrane area and a durable 34-mil low differential pressure (LDP) feed spacer. This spacer design minimizes biological and colloidal fouling. When cleaning is required, this membrane offers the widest cleaning pH range (1–13) in the industry, providing unmatched chemical tolerance and robustness. Furthermore, the "i" designation indicates the inclusion of DuPont's patented iLEC™ (Interlocking End Caps), which creates a direct mechanical seal between elements. This eliminates the need for interconnecting O-rings, drastically reducing the risk of internal leaks that can compromise permeate water quality.
