The Hydranautics (Nitto) CPA6-LD represents the fifth generation of the Composite Polyamide (CPA) family, widely considered the industry standard for high-purity brackish water treatment. Engineered for applications where water quality is non-negotiable, this 8" x 40" element provides the highest salt rejection in the CPA line, reaching a nominal 99.75% to 99.8%. It is the preferred choice for municipal drinking water plants, semiconductor fabrication, and boiler feed water systems that require the aggressive removal of silica, nitrates, and total dissolved solids (TDS).

The "LD" designation stands for Low Differential Pressure technology. This membrane features a patented 34 mil feed spacer and enhanced leaf geometry designed to minimize colloidal fouling and simplify the cleaning process. By reducing the rate of pressure drop across the pressure vessel, the CPA6-LD ensures longer intervals between cleanings and more consistent performance in challenging feed water conditions. While it operates at slightly higher feed pressures than the energy-saving ESPA series, its superior rejection capabilities make it an essential component for critical high-purity industrial processes.
