The Hydranautics CPA7-LD-4040 is a sixth-generation, commercial-grade reverse osmosis (RO) membrane element engineered for high-purity brackish water treatment applications. Designed to fit standard 4-inch by 40-inch commercial pressure vessels, this element combines ultra-high salt rejection with advanced low-fouling technology to deliver exceptional permeate water quality under demanding feedwater conditions. It is widely utilized across critical industrial sectors, including power generation boiler makeup, semiconductor fabrication, pharmaceutical processing, zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems, and commercial water purification setups.

Utilizing advanced Composite Polyamide thin-film composite (TFC) chemistry, the CPA7-LD-4040 provides 80 square feet of active membrane surface area paired with a heavy-duty 34-mil feed spacer (LD Technology). This specialized spacer design reduces colloidal fouling, lowers differential pressure, and extends operating intervals between required chemical cleanings. Operating at a standard test pressure of 225 PSI with a 1,500 ppm NaCl solution, the membrane delivers an industry-leading stabilized salt rejection rate of 99.8% alongside a nominal permeate flow rate of 2,300 gallons per day (GPD).
