The Hydranautics ESNA1-LF2-LD-4040 is a high-performance 4-inch nanofiltration (NF) element designed for superior Natural Organic Matter (NOM) removal and moderate hardness rejection. As part of the Energy Saving Nanofiltration (ESNA) family, it operates at ultra-low pressures—typically below 100 psi—drastically reducing the energy consumption and operational costs of the treatment system. It is an ideal solution for municipal potable water systems, softening applications, and the removal of pesticides or disinfection by-product (DBP) precursors.

This element incorporates LD Technology® (Low Differential Pressure), utilizing a 34-mil feed spacer with biostatic properties to minimize the trapping of colloidal particles and inhibit biological growth. This design ensures a lower pressure drop across the membrane and improves cleaning efficiency, leading to longer intervals between maintenance cycles and extended membrane life. With a permeate flow of 2,400 gallons per day, the ESNA1-LF2-LD-4040 provides a robust and sustainable alternative for groundwater treatment and color removal where high salt rejection is not required.
