Hydranautics ESPA2-LD-4040 Energy-Saving RO Membrane (2,000 GPD)

 

The Hydranautics ESPA2-LD-4040 is a specialized Low Energy Brackish Water RO Element designed to deliver high rejection performance while minimizing fouling in difficult feed water conditions. Part of the industry-leading "ESPA" (Energy Saving Polyamide) family, this membrane operates at a low pressure of 150 PSI, significantly reducing energy consumption compared to standard high-pressure elements. It is engineered for applications where energy efficiency and permeate quality are paramount, such as drinking water production, industrial process water, and wastewater reclamation.

The "LD" (Low Differential) designation signifies the use of an enhanced 34-mil feed spacer. This thicker spacer reduces the accumulation of colloidal particles and biological growth on the membrane surface, which lowers the pressure drop (differential pressure) across the element and makes it easier to clean. By mitigating fouling, the ESPA2-LD-4040 extends membrane life and maintains stable performance in waters with high fouling potential, reducing the frequency of required chemical cleanings.
