The "LD" (Low Differential) designation signifies the use of an enhanced 34-mil feed spacer. This thicker spacer reduces the accumulation of colloidal particles and biological growth on the membrane surface, which lowers the pressure drop (differential pressure) across the element and makes it easier to clean.
