Hydranautics ESPA3-4040 Energy Saving RO Membrane
The Hydranautics (Nitto) ESPA3-4040 is a premier Energy Saving Polyamide (ESPA) reverse osmosis element specifically engineered for high-productivity brackish water treatment. Designed to deliver an exceptional permeate flow of 3,000 GPD, this 4-inch membrane allows systems to operate at significantly lower pressures without sacrificing salt rejection standards. Since its introduction, the ESPA3 series has become a benchmark in the water treatment industry for its ability to drastically reduce operational costs (OPEX) and capital expenditures (CAPEX) by requiring smaller pumps and lower energy consumption.
Constructed with a Composite Polyamide membrane layer and a durable Fiberglass outer shell, the ESPA3-4040 is optimized for municipal potable water plants, bottling operations, and light industrial applications. Its high flux design is particularly effective at removing hardness, silica, and total organic carbon (TOC) from feed water sources with low to moderate salinity. By providing one of the highest flow rates in the 4040 size category, this membrane ensures a sustainable, low-cost solution for high-volume water production.
