Hydranautics ESPA3-7 Energy-Saving RO Membrane

 

The Hydranautics ESPA3-7 (Energy-Saving Polyamide) is a high-productivity 8-inch reverse osmosis element designed to provide exceptional water quality at significantly lower operating pressures. As a member of the ESPA® family, it is engineered for applications where energy efficiency is a primary concern without compromising salt rejection standards. This membrane is a premier choice for municipal potable water production, bottling operations, and industrial process water, as it allows facility operators to achieve high permeate flow rates while reducing the total energy consumption of the RO plant.

With an active surface area of 400 square feet, the ESPA3-7 delivers a nominal permeate flow of 14,000 gallons per day. Its advanced composite polyamide chemistry is optimized for high rejection of silica and boron, making it particularly effective as a polishing unit in complex water treatment systems. By operating at a lower applied pressure than standard brackish water membranes, the ESPA3-7 helps to lower both capital and operational expenses, providing a sustainable and cost-effective solution for large-scale water purification.
