LFC3-LD Hydranautics Nitto Membranes
Hydranautics LFC3-LD Low Fouling Composite RO Membrane
The Hydranautics LFC3-LD is an 8-inch high-rejection reverse osmosis element specifically engineered for treating difficult feedwaters, such as municipal and industrial wastewater. Part of the Low Fouling Composite (LFC) family, this membrane utilizes a unique neutrally charged surface with hydrophilic chemistry. This advanced design significantly reduces the rate of organic and colloidal fouling, allowing the system to maintain stable permeate flow and high rejection where standard polyamide membranes would require frequent and aggressive chemical cleanings.
This element is integrated with LD Technology® (Low Differential Pressure), which features a 34-mil feed spacer. This wider spacer design minimizes the trapping of colloidal particles and inhibits the growth of biological foulants, resulting in a lower pressure drop across the element. For plant managers and system operators, the LFC3-LD provides a robust solution that balances high productivity with enhanced membrane durability, ultimately extending the interval between cleanings and reducing the total cost of ownership in high-fouling applications.
