LG CW 4040 SF Brackish Water RO Membrane – Spot-Free Rinse for Car Wash Applications (2,900 GPD)
The LG CW 4040 SF is a brackish water reverse osmosis element manufactured by LG Chem under its NanoH2O™ brand, purpose-built for spot-free rinse systems in the car wash industry as well as other commercial applications that benefit from high-quality, low-mineral water at ultra-low feed pressure. Utilizing advanced Thin Film Nanocomposite (TFN) membrane technology, this element delivers high productivity while keeping operating pressure requirements low, helping reduce pump energy costs for commercial system operators. It's built in the industry-standard 4-inch by 40-inch configuration, allowing it to fit easily into existing or new RO systems without modification.
The CW 4040 SF provides 85 square feet of active membrane area and delivers a permeate flow rate of 2,900 GPD (11.0 m³/d) — among the highest flow rates in its class — with a stabilized salt rejection of 99.0% (98.0% minimum). The element is certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN Standard 61 for drinking water system components, supporting its use in applications where water safety compliance matters. A 28-mil feed spacer helps maintain consistent performance and durability over repeated commercial duty cycles.
Beyond its core car wash spot-free rinse application, the CW 4040 SF is well suited to other low-pressure commercial uses such as nursery and hydroponics water treatment, boiler feed water pretreatment, and general light commercial demineralization where energy efficiency and reliable, consistent output are priorities. The element ships dry, supporting extended shelf life prior to installation.
