The LG SW 400 GR G2 is a second-generation seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) element manufactured by LG Chem under its NanoH2O™ brand, purpose-built for single-pass SWRO systems that demand the highest permeate water quality available. Built on advanced Thin Film Nanocomposite (TFN) membrane technology, this G2-generation element delivers superior salt rejection and superior boron rejection compared to earlier-generation designs, giving system designers a combination of excellent permeate water quality and strong energy efficiency without increasing operating pressure.
This 8-inch by 40-inch element provides 400 square feet of active membrane area and a permeate flow rate of 7,500 GPD (28.4 m³/d), backed by a stabilized salt rejection of 99.89% (99.75% minimum) and a boron rejection of 93%. A thicker 34-mil feed spacer improves resistance to fouling, helping maintain consistent performance over the membrane's service life in demanding seawater conditions. The element is certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN Standard 61 for drinking water system components, supporting its use in municipal and industrial desalination plants where regulatory compliance and water safety are essential.
