DuPont FilmTec™ NF270-4040 Nanofiltration Membrane (2,500 GPD)
The DuPont FilmTec NF270-4040 is a unique, high-flow Nanofiltration element engineered for commercial systems that require efficient removal of hardness and specific contaminants while operating at minimal pressure. This element excels in processes known as "partial softening," effectively removing the divalent ions that cause scaling (like calcium and magnesium) but allowing beneficial monovalent salts (like sodium chloride) to pass. This feature is crucial for maintaining water quality and managing downstream corrosion control.
This Nanofiltration model is an ideal solution for treating surface water or groundwater where a high level of Total Organic Carbon (TOC) and other color-forming compounds must be rejected. By requiring only 70 PSI for operation, the NF270-4040 significantly lowers the energy demand and overall operating expense of your water treatment system.
- Ultra Low Pressure: Operates effectively at just 70 PSI, saving power.
- Targeted Filtration: Excellent at removing hardness, color, and organics (TOC).
- Corrosion Control: Partial softening action helps stabilize water for distribution systems.
- Industry Standard: Fits all standard 4-inch diameter membrane pressure vessels.
