DuPont FilmTec™ NF90-400/34 High Rejection Nanofiltration Membrane (10,000 GPD)
The FilmTec™ NF90-400/34 is a high-area, high-productivity 8-inch nanofiltration element engineered for large-scale municipal and industrial water treatment. Manufactured by DuPont Water Solutions, it is purpose-built to deliver high-quality permeate while selectively removing a high percentage of contaminants such as salts, hardness, nitrates, and iron, along with organic compounds including pesticides, herbicides, and trihalomethane (THM) precursors. The element also provides high rejection of total organic carbon (TOC) and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), making it well suited for modern drinking water compliance requirements.
Built on DuPont's proven polyamide thin-film composite membrane technology, the NF90-400/34 combines a large active membrane area with low net driving pressure, allowing effective contaminant removal at low operating pressures. This translates into lower energy consumption for utility operators without sacrificing water quality — an important consideration for water softening, demineralization, and reuse applications.
The element is constructed with a 34-mil feed spacer, which improves tolerance to suspended solids and enables more effective cleaning of organic foulants, extending cleaning cycle intervals and reducing long-term maintenance costs. With 400 square feet of active membrane area, the NF90-400/34 produces a permeate flow rate of 10,000 gallons per day (38 m³/d), and it is rated for a minimum salt rejection of 98.7%, delivering dependable, cost-effective performance for utility managers, OEMs, and system integrators.
The NF90-400/34 also offers a wide cleaning pH tolerance (pH 1–13), supporting effective cleaning protocols that help maintain long-term flux and rejection stability across the life of the element.
Key Applications: Municipal drinking water treatment, water reuse, and industrial water demineralization.
