Drop-In 4040 Replacement for the FilmTec BW30 PRO-4040
This 4-inch by 40-inch brackish water RO element from LG Water Solutions (LG Chem) is a direct-fit replacement for the FilmTec BW30 PRO-4040. It matches the following BW30 PRO-4040 dimensions and ratings. 3.9-inch by 40-inch 4040 format, 85 square feet of active membrane area, a 0.75-inch permeate tube, a 225 PSI test pressure, a 600 PSI maximum applied pressure, and a 16 GPM maximum feed flow.
The element is rated at 2,500 GPD (9.5 m³/d) with a stabilized salt rejection of 99.6% and a 99.3% minimum. It is built on LG's NanoH2O™ thin film nanocomposite (TFN) technology, which puts nanomaterials into the polyamide layer to raise permeability while keeping salt rejection high. A standard 28-mil feed spacer and good fouling resistance support steady output over time.
The element suits light industrial process water and commercial RO systems, and it is certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN Standard 61 for drinking water systems. It operates at temperatures up to 113°F and a continuous pH range of 2 to 11. If you are replacing worn BW30 PRO-4040 elements in an existing 4040 vessel, it installs the same way.
