The Hydranautics (Nitto) SanRO HS2-8 is a high-performance, specialty reverse osmosis (RO) membrane engineered specifically for high-purity water systems requiring frequent thermal sanitization. Manufactured utilizing a robust composite polyamide polymer, this 8-inch by 40-inch spiral-wound element is a high-fluxing, heat-sanitizable membrane designed to deliver maximum productivity while maintaining strict sanitary conditions. It is fully USP (United States Pharmacopeia) compliant and conforms to FDA Regulation CFR, Title 21, making it an industry standard for producing purified water in pharmaceutical, medical, biotechnology, food and beverage, and semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Designed to eliminate microbial growth and simplify maintenance, the SanRO HS2-8 features a sanitary, full-fit net-type outer wrapping that prevents "dead flow" areas commonly associated with traditional fiberglass-wrapped elements. This design allows for highly effective cleaning-in-place (CIP) and heat sanitization at temperatures up to 185°F (85°C). Operating at a highly efficient test pressure of 225 PSI, this membrane produces an impressive nominal permeate flow of 14,000 GPD with a nominal salt rejection of 99.6%. By combining factory heat-setting for predictable startup performance with energy-saving permeability, this RO element delivers the reliable, continuous-duty operation required for critical ultrapure liquid handling.
