The DuPont FilmTec Seamaxx™-440i is a professional-grade, extra low energy seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) membrane engineered for maximum energy efficiency in industrial desalination systems. Designed for standard 8-inch by 40-inch pressure vessels, this element utilizes advanced polyamide thin-film composite technology to deliver an exceptionally high permeate flow. By operating effectively at significantly reduced feed pressures, it provides substantial savings in energy consumption and lowers overall system capital costs, making it an ideal solution for facilities processing low-to-medium salinity seawater or high-salinity brackish water.

Built for continuous, heavy-duty operation, the Seamaxx-440i features an expansive 440 square foot active membrane area paired with a 28-mil feed spacer, which balances low differential pressure with excellent cleaning efficiency. To ensure secure installations and reduce system operating costs, this model includes proprietary iLEC™ interlocking endcaps that minimize the risk of O-ring leaks. Due to its extraordinarily high permeability, it is evaluated at a specialized standard test pressure of 600 PSI, where it produces a nominal flow rate of 9,050 gallons per day (GPD) alongside a stabilized salt rejection rate of 99.47%. Engineered for demanding environments, it can safely withstand a maximum operating pressure of 1,200 PSI, providing an optimal combination of extreme efficiency and high-purity output.
