The DuPont FilmTec SW30HRLE-4040 is an industry-leading, high-rejection seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) membrane engineered for demanding desalination environments. Designed as a 4-inch diameter version of the widely utilized SW30HRLE-400, this element delivers an exceptional combination of high salt rejection and high productivity. By utilizing advanced "High Rejection, Low Energy" (HRLE) polyamide thin-film composite technology, it enables facility operators to effectively purify high-salinity feed water while significantly minimizing the total cost of operation. This membrane is particularly effective at removing sodium chloride and boron, ensuring the permeate meets stringent World Health Organization (WHO) and other municipal drinking water standards.

Ideal for medium-sized marine watermakers, offshore platforms, and land-based desalination facilities, the SW30HRLE-4040 is built for continuous-duty durability. It features a robust 28-mil feed spacer and an optimized 85 sq. ft. active surface area, ensuring reliable performance and extended element life even in challenging feed conditions, without the need for oxidative post-treatments. Under standard test conditions, this high-flux element produces a robust nominal flow rate of 1,600 gallons per day (GPD) at an applied pressure of 800 PSI, maintaining a highly stabilized salt rejection rate of 99.75%. This efficiency allows systems to operate at lower pressures, reducing the energy demands on high-pressure booster pumps and lowering overall capital expenses.
