The DuPont FilmTec SW30XFR-400/34i is a premium Fouling-Resistant Seawater Reverse Osmosis Element designed specifically for desalination plants dealing with high biological or organic fouling potential. This model features an advanced fouling-resistant membrane chemistry combined with a wider 34-mil feed spacer, which significantly improves cleanability and reduces the pressure drop accumulation caused by biofouling. It is the ideal choice for open-intake seawater systems or waters with high fouling indices where standard membranes would require frequent chemical cleaning.
The "i" in the model number designates the inclusion of iLEC™ (Interlocking End Caps) technology. This proprietary design eliminates the need for standard sliding couplers and O-rings between elements, creating a direct leak-tight mechanical seal that reduces the risk of permeate contamination. With a high productivity rate of 7,500 GPD, the SW30XFR-400/34i offers a balanced solution that maintains 99.8% salt rejection while lowering long-term operating costs through extended membrane life and reduced cleaning frequency.
