The DuPont FilmTec SW30XLE-440 is a high-productivity Extra Low Energy Seawater Reverse Osmosis Element engineered to significantly reduce the operating costs of large-scale desalination plants. As part of the "XLE" (Extra Low Energy) family, this membrane is designed to deliver exceptional salt rejection while operating at substantially lower feed pressures than standard seawater elements, resulting in major energy savings. It is highly optimized for medium-salinity and medium-temperature feed waters, making it an excellent choice for single-pass seawater systems, two-pass designs, or challenging high-salinity brackish water applications.

This 8-inch commercial element features a massive 440 ft² active surface area paired with a durable 28-mil feed spacer. This high-surface-area design maximizes production capacity per vessel—reducing overall capital expenses—while facilitating high cleaning efficiency and lowering the necessary cleaning frequency. Operating at a standard test pressure of 800 PSI, the SW30XLE-440 produces a reliable 9,900 Gallons Per Day (GPD) while maintaining an impressive stabilized salt rejection of 99.8%, ensuring sustainable, long-term performance and consistently high-quality permeate water.
