Hydranautics SWC-2521 Seawater RO Membrane
The Hydranautics SWC-2521 is a high-performance 2.5-inch seawater reverse osmosis (RO) element specifically designed for marine watermakers and small-scale desalination systems. As part of the SWC (Sea Water Composite) series, it is engineered to deliver high salt rejection and reliable permeate flow, effectively converting high-salinity feedwater into potable drinking water. Its compact 21-inch length makes it an ideal solution for yachts, boats, and offshore platforms where space is limited but water quality is critical.
Utilizing advanced spiral-wound composite polyamide technology, the SWC-2521 provides a stabilized salt rejection of 99.4%. The element is encased in a durable fiberglass outer shell to withstand the high pressures required for effective seawater desalination. With a permeate flow rate of 220 gallons per day, this membrane ensures a consistent supply of fresh water while maintaining energy efficiency in demanding maritime environments.
