As part of the SWC (Sea Water Composite) series, it is engineered to provide a superior balance between high permeate flow and exceptional salt rejection. The "LD" designation signifies the inclusion of Low Differential technology, which utilizes a specialized feed spacer designed to minimize colloidal fouling and reduce the overall pressure drop across the membrane, resulting in longer intervals between cleanings.

Constructed with an advanced composite polyamide membrane, the SWC4-LD is capable of treating high-salinity feedwater while maintaining energy efficiency. It is a preferred solution for municipal desalination plants, power generation facilities, and offshore platforms that require a reliable source of potable water. With an active surface area of 400 square feet, this element delivers a permeate flow rate of 6,500 gallons per day and achieves a stabilized salt rejection of 99.8%, ensuring the removal of boron and other critical ions to meet stringent water quality standards.
