The Toray TBW-4040HR is a low-pressure brackish water reverse osmosis element manufactured by Toray Industries, part of the TBW-HR series specifically engineered to deliver improved rejection of neutral molecules compared to standard brackish water RO elements. This makes it a strong fit for applications where trace-level contaminants like boron and silica need to be minimized, including ultrapure water production and industrial process water treatment where downstream processes are sensitive to neutral molecule carryover.

Sized in the industry-standard 4-inch by 40-inch configuration, the TBW-4040HR provides 87 square feet of active membrane area and delivers a permeate flow rate of 1,550 GPD (5.9 m³/d) under standard test conditions, backed by a nominal salt rejection of 99.8% and a minimum salt rejection of 99.5%.
